Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend to students and part-time work. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill in comparison to her fellow students and was contemplating a different path she might follow. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. She quit the group before they appeared in I.T.V's talent program New Faces. She was The singer for The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. The band she was in, was introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create their own group, the Eurythmics pop duo. Following that Lennox began to work on her first solo album Diva which came out in 1992. Both commercially as well as critically, it was an enormous hit. Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is a Scottish musician and political activist. At the end of the 70s, Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while members in The Tourists.
