Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children was born in Woodland Hills in the year 1956. The mother of the child was home as a mother. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick always enjoyed performing, dancing and putting on show puppets. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of six, which prompted an inquiry from talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her whether she wanted to work in show business. McCormick was offered her first significant work in 1964, when she appeared in a television commercial for Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in the year 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the lead role in the play Wind It up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse.
